Pilot Street Pictures presents "GIRONA" featuring actress Séainín Brennan

17 April 2015

Séainín Brennan (The Fall Seasons 1 & 2; Dare to be Wild, Hidden), joined celebrated actors John Hannah (Four Weddings and a Funeral/Damages)and Frankie McCafferty (Philomena / Shooting for Socrates) to star in “GIRONA", a new short film, which filmed this month in Northern Ireland.

On a bleak stormy night, a prosperous, lonely man checks in to a boutique hotel in the centre of Belfast. For nearly three decades Hart (played by John Hannah) has sought sanctuary in the anonymity of the same suite, in the same hotel, on the same night of the year. As before, he has reserved an adjoining room with an interconnecting door that has remained steadfastly locked… until tonight.

A sense of impending mortality and the hint of a life nearing completion compel Hart to turn the key for the first time and into his life walks Sophie (Séainín Brennan), a beguiling young escort with the hint of a dark past.

Over the course of this long stormy night, Sophie causes him to contemplate a life lived in the lonely shadow of a dead wife, finally confront his profound grief and for the first time in over a quarter of a century, experience the privilege and joy of being alive.

They live the night as if it was their last and by the time the sun comes up, Sophie comes to realise that death may end life but not love, that perhaps life is not about learning how to live but preparing how to die.

Speaking about the project Seainin said: "When I first read GIRONA, I was fascinated by Paul McGuigan’s script. I immediately knew that I wanted to play Sophie... She is so intriguing. I knew it would be a challenge but I accepted straight away. Plus I was really looking forward to working with John Hannah. He is such an incredible actor."

Enterprising AS Residential Launches in Belfast with 'The Factory'

10 April 2015

A brand new and bespoke residential property management company, AS Residential, has launched in Belfast with a key city centre development, ‘The Factory’ as its flagship development for the rental market.   The Factory, which is located in Little Donegall Street, is on the site of a former clothing factory in the heart of the city centre, is a development of 20 apartments including a luxury three bedroom penthouse apartment.

Ashleigh Sloan, founder of AS Residential said: “I’ve been working in property management for over a decade and saw a gap for a truly bespoke, 24/7 management agency, and we have been very lucky that many developers and property investors – from small, one property owners right through to much larger developers - have come to us with their portfolios for management or sale. Female investors in particular have shown big interest in our services.”

With the rise in female investors cited by bodies such as the Association of Women in Property, female property managers such as Ashleigh will be in big demand, as female developers become even more active and aggressive in the market, demanding precision and attention to detail in terms of taking control of their financial future.

Ashleigh added: “Our key focus is a dedication to customer service and attention to detail in every aspect of sales, letting or tenancy. We build our relationships – and that includes relationships with vendors and buyers as well as tenants and landlords -  because communication is the key to smooth rentals and optimum results for both tenant and landlord, as well as buyer and seller. Our sales team is second to none and offers a stress-free solution to property sales, from the initial valuation and marketing, through to valuations and the final completion of the sale - all at very competitive and affordable rates.”
