Leading occasionwear and partywear boutique Blush in Belfast has secured a coveted ‘in camera’ luncheon with lauded designer Kevan Jon which will take place later this month in CoCo restaurant, Belfast. The designer, who creates super flattering dresses for socialites and party-goers across Europe, will visit Belfast on Sunday 28 February to showcase his spring 2016 collection with an exclusive glance at some of his Summer and Autumn 2016 pieces.

The showcase will take place over cocktails and a three course luncheon at Coco restaurant and is hosted by Blush Boutique’s Aileen Wilson, who is donating all proceeds from the day to Autism NI, a charity close to her heart – and to her family.

As well as the intimate fashion show, there will be an opportunity to hear from the man himself on his inspirations, fashion icons and all things glam.  His designs have featured regularly on the catwalk at Belfast FASHIONWEEK, and have been snapped at several red carpet events.

South African born, but of Irish decent, Kevan’s designs are a favourite with stylish ladies across the island of Ireland. He is hailed as the designer for real women and, as this is his first showcase in Ireland, demand for places is already high with several already committed to traveling to meet him in person for this event.

Asked about the upcoming event Kevan said “I am very excited to launch my latest collection in Belfast, because on previous visits I’ve just loved the energy and vibe about the city; the people give you such a warm welcome and CoCo itself is such a cool venue.”

Aileen Wilson, Fashion Director at Blush, said “Kevan’s designs are such a favourite with our customers and he has quite the following now. But on a personal level he is also such a gentleman and inspirational designer who just ‘gets’ women, so we are thrilled to work alongside him”.

Tickets for this exclusive event are £32 and are available directly through Blush Boutique on 02890661101, or via email at:

Proceeds from this event will be donated to Autism NI.

Beauty Bootcamp, has been a sell-out success since it launched in Dublin, and now, due to

unprecedented demand, Ireland’s leading 1-day make-up & hair course, is coming to Belfast city!

Beauty Bootcamp was set up by TV3’s beauty guru and beauty editor, Liz Dwyer back in 2007. Liz was so impressed by thetransformation of models and celebrities into the glamorous vixens we see on the catwalks and on screen, thanks to cleverhair and make-up techniques that she witnessed behind the scenes, she decided all women should have a chance to get in on the act.

Beauty Bootcamp, which is taught by a team of international make-up artists and hair stylists, has a very clear mission statement : to teach regular women how to apply their makeup like a pro, style their hair like a red-carpet regular and to impart all the backstage tricks and insider tips to boot.

The one-day workshop, covers everything from the basics to high glam and follows a hands-on format. The tutors demonstrate a specific make-up or hairstyling technique, and the class replicates each step on themselves until they complete a look, as Liz feels, “this is the only way to really grasp a new method and be able to do it yourself at home.”

All the latest and greatest cosmetics and pro essentials are provided for clients’ use in the course, and this unique beauty playground environment serves as the perfect backdrop for a fun girls’ day out. Better yet, attendees also have the added advantage of being all glammed up and ready for Saturday night.

Almost 30 percent of Beauty Bootcamp’s clients in the past eight years have travelled down from Northern Ireland to attend a course, so we felt it was high time to bring our experts and backstage experience to them instead.

BELFAST SPRING COURSE DATES: FEB 13th, 27th; MARCH 5TH, 19TH, APRIL 2nd, 16th, 30th.
